AINSDALE HIT BY MASSIVE POWER CUT

Above: Ainsdale in Southport 

Sandbrook Road, Meadow Lane and other parts of Ainsdale were tonight hit by a massive power cut that saw houses without electrical power.

Mobile phone signals were also affected.

We are unsure what the exact cause was and how far the problem went but Kenilworth, Westminster, Thirlmere and  Gleneagles were also off... 

Power was however restored at around 6.35 pm

Latest just in...

Unconfirmed reports now indicate that all of the Ainsdale area was out during this power cut.
